Course Overview

You will be reassessed for each unit you need to renew, the NRSWA Units are:

Operative Units

  • Unit LA (was Unit 1) – Location & avoidance of underground apparatus
  • Unit O1 (was Unit 2) – Signing, lighting and guarding
  • Unit O2 (was Unit 3) – Excavation in the highway
  • Unit O3 (was Unit 4) – Reinstatement & compaction of backfill materials
  • Unit O4 (was Unit 5) – Reinstatement of sub base & road in non bituminous materials
  • Unit O5 (was Unit 6) – Reinstatement of cold-lay bituminous materials
  • Unit O6 (was Unit 7) – Reinstatement of hot lay bituminous materials (subject to centre)
  • Unit O7 (was Unit 8) – Reinstatement of concrete slabs (subject to centre)
  • Unit O8 (was Unit 9) – Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways

Supervisor Units

  • Unit LA (was Unit 9) – Location & avoidance of underground apparatus
  • Unit S1 (was Unit 10) – Monitoring Signing, lighting and guarding
  • Unit S2 (was Unit 11) – Monitoring excavation in the highway
  • Unit S3 (was Unit 12) – Monitoring reinstatement & compaction of backfill materials
  • Unit S4 (was Unit 13) – Monitoring reinstatement of sub base & road in non-bituminous materials
  • Unit S5 (was Unit 14) – Monitoring reinstatement in bituminous materials
  • Unit S6 (was Unit 15) – Monitoring reinstatement of concrete slabs (subject to centre)
  • Unit S7 (was Unit 16) – Monitoring reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways
